Accelerated Resourcing (AR) complements any modality to address trauma, anxiety or past triggering events. As clients heal from past issues and traumas, their brain exhibits improved emotional regulation. AR is a brain–body–oriented therapeutic approach designed to process trauma through the use of positive imagery and resources. In contrast to traditional talk therapy, AR uses guided interventions with mindful awareness of somatic responses in the body while simultaneously engaging adaptive cognitive, emotional, and physiological resources. When briefly reviewing past trauma, the clinician introduces structured resourcing exercises to promote positive memory reconsolidation related to the triggering event or trauma. This treatment modality includes Feedback Informed Care as the AOQ1 and PCL5 (for trauma) are used each session to track progress. Experience a new level of healing for yourself in the practicums and see what's possible for your clients!

I've had the privilege of training therapists from The Ottawa Anxiety and Trauma Clinic. If your group or agency is looking for new training for staff, do consider this training!
AR can be used as a stand alone technique for trauma, supplement EMDR sessions, or used with modalities therapists already know to enhance and accelerate trauma healing. Accelerated Resourcing (AR) also promotes self care for the therapist compared to other trauma modalities as details of the trauma do not need to be disclosed by the client preventing vicarious trauma for the therapist. Bilateral stimulation (left and right eye movements), tapping or music isn't used. No pointer or hand movements, thus avoiding muscle, shoulder or neck strain for the therapist. If a client can picture something in their mind, they can benefit from Accelerated Resourcing. What you see, and the perspective through which you see it, shapes your life whether real or imagined. Imagination is a wonderful thing to harness for healing.

As a trauma specialist, I find myself relaxed and not stressed searching for the next intervention or insightful comment. Instead, I'm just facilitating healing, allowing the client's brain to do the hard work. Each session is not draining for me and the work is rewarding!  This method is particularly helpful for those in managed care organizations, where time is limited and client load is high. It's designed to help therapists achieve faster graduation rates and a more manageable caseload. Easily integrate this technique into your therapy sessions.

In Somatic Experiencing (SE), the concept of Pendulation from Peter Levine, PhD helps describe what Accelerated Resourcing process is like. Any number of these imagery exercises can be used to help accelerate the healing process and works in a time limited setting. It has been developed through years of experience as I worked in a managed care organization and used it to treat hundreds of patients.

Who is this training for?
Therapists seeking an effective approach to address trauma-related issues quickly. This technique allows you to work without delving into the specifics of the trauma. It minimizes the risk of indirect trauma and helps maintain your well-being, preventing burnout or feeling overwhelmed.  Therapists including but not limited to: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, AMFT, MSW, Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Psychiatrists providing therapy, Associates, Trainees, students/Interns in the mental health field welcome.
Participants' Gracious Feedback

"This was probably the best training I have had in 20 years of practice. Having it be so short and restorative was excellent. The practicums were helpful as were all the demos. I can’t wait to implement this tomorrow!"  Dr. Susan MacNeill Psychiatrist

"The training is excellent – it is straightforward, clearly explained, and easy to implement right away. I started using AR as a part of my work immediately after the training, and I have used it almost every day since for the past several months. I must say I am quite amazed at the relief that this approach is bringing to my clients. It feels good as a clinician to be offering something that results in a live in-session shift in activation levels. But AR goes one step further than just reducing activation – it adds a layer of empowerment through the imagery used. This can be a powerful shift away from powerlessness, and toward post-traumatic growth. I highly recommend this training."  Andrew Burr PhD

"It was an amazing training, very informative, short and sweet, well packaged, concise and relevant! It was not tiring at all compared to a 2 or 3 day training! I did many trainings in my career and this was one of the best I attended in terms of content, timeframe, richness and process."  Dr. Ofelia Tatu Consultant

"What makes this approach different is its focus on building and strengthening your existing internal resources rather than extensively processing traumatic narratives. I've found that my clients appreciate not having to verbally relive every difficult moment to experience meaningful healing. Instead, we work together to identify and amplify the strengths and capabilities you already possess, even if they feel buried under layers of stress or past experiences." Katrina Kwan PsyD

"This is such an important training that has distilled the most essential healing elements from evidence-based therapies and consolidated them into this dynamic approach that is not only original, but innovative and customizable to the clinician. I'm so excited this training is available in an inclusive and affordable format, it will help even more clinicians get trained in deep brain modalities that will heal the world."  Ashley Jopling LPC

"I can't believe how much I learned from your training. The demos you shared were extremely beneficial. The practicums were helpful for practicing the newly acquired material and made me recognize the effectiveness of these setups. I really valued the opportunity to ask questions and get answers throughout the training. Accelerated Resourcing will work perfectly for sessions confined to 45-50 minutes. I appreciate the affordability and accessibility of this training. The knowledge and experience I gained certainly rival the quality of trainings I have paid hundreds of dollars for. I plan to take it again!"  Maria Llamas LMFT

"I really enjoyed this training and found it highly beneficial to my clinical practice. The instructor’s calming, laidback style created a relaxed and supportive learning environment, and he connected well with the group, which made participation feel natural and engaging. The material was clearly explained, and the structure of the training helped make AR feel simpler and more focused in my understanding. The practicums were especially valuable. They significantly deepened both my conceptual understanding and my experiential confidence with the technique. Having the opportunity to practice in a guided format reinforced the learning in a meaningful way and helped integrate the material beyond theory."  Stephany Saloojee MSW

"I like the concise, fluid and simplistic nature of the training. Being trained or exposed to so many therapeutic modalities including EMDR, ART, Acceptance and Integration Training, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Energy Psych/EFT, Self Acceptance Training, PEAT (Primary Energy Activation & Transcendence, Gestalt, Jungian theory, & Parts work/IFS found their ways to have influenced this method whether intentionally or accidentally by the creator. As they say in Louisiana, Tim has made fine, rich gumbo of all the good impactful elements of some of the most profound therapeutic models known, which are thoughtfully infused together for your healing pleasure. I feel that therapeutic modalities like this are the therapeutic modalities patients are seeking for the future. These are the next phase/generation of therapeutic modalities that succeed EMDR, ART, EFT. Welcome to the future of next generation treatment."  Richard Fridrick LCSW

"I really appreciated the lecture and overview of specific ways AR is similar to/different from other modalities. Contextualizing AR in this way, alongside other modalities such as EMDR, Flash, SE, IFS, exposure therapy, etc. made it much easier to integrate into the clinician's existing toolkit. The AR technique itself was so easy to immediately use in client sessions. The scripts provided structure while still allowing for flexible applications. I don't think I've been to any other training that allocated nearly one-third of the total training to practicum-really appreciated this. As an experiential learner, practicum really helped me to absorb the lecture material."  Chi Tran LMFT

"As a Neurofeedback practitioner, I work with people one on one. My clients love Accelerated Resourcing because it allows them to move through traumatic content much more easily. I had been looking for a positive psychology based approach that is effective and quick. I find it more lighthearted than working on the trauma overtly. It also gives them powerful tools that they can use on their own. I could not be more thrilled with this creative innovation." Suzanne Mark Neurofeedback Practitioner
Differences between modalities:

Talk therapy:  typically uses CBT, logic, provide perspectives, active and reflective listening - accessing mostly the pre-frontal cortex of the brain. Coping skills to help manage symptoms. Yet, a lot of the trauma is struck in the mid-brain,
amygdala, limbic system, even as far back as the brain stem - not easily accessed by talking things out. Many clients wonder why traditional talk therapy hasn't led to resolution from past traumas - this is partly a reason.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy):  Thoughts, feelings and actions are related to each other. CBT tries to challenge automatic negative thoughts, cognitive distortions and negative core beliefs of oneself and the world around them.

Mindfulness: Taking time to be present, aware of thoughts and observing feelings and sensations non-judgmentally. Use of intentional deep breathing. I appreciate
the 9 Attitudes of Mindfulness from Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn.

CPT: Cognitive Processing Therapy, is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) used to treat PTSD by helping individuals change unhelpful thoughts about trauma. 1 trauma event/memory can take about 12 sessions, home work for the client is required (possible impediment/limitation to the approach), clinician helps client identify and challenge stuck points (negative beliefs about oneself, others, or the world that resulted from a traumatic event).

Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy: Helps people gradually face their fears, disturbing traumas or experiences gradually. there a are imagined exposure and In vivo exposure.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences by reprocessing memories, reducing their emotional impact so they no longer trigger the intense distress or negative beliefs associated with them, using bilateral stimulation like eye movements or tapping. An evidenced based treatment for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other issues.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) appears to have developed from EMDR, I would call it an accelerated version of EMDR as I find it more effective and easier to pick up than EMDR. Left and right eye movements used facilitated by the hand of the therapist with guided exercises.

Flash Technique (FT)
Involves guided and slow left and right eye movements, prompts of positive thoughts and eye blinks. A unique and rapid approach to trauma.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-oriented therapeutic model that treats trauma and stress-related disorders by focusing on bodily sensations rather than just thoughts or memories. It works by releasing trapped, unresolved tension in the nervous system—often caused by traumatic events—through a process of grounding, titration (processing small amounts), and pendulation (moving between states of tension and safety).

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping:  Use of tapping on acupunctural spots on the body paired with scripted statements that help clients process past traumas in the structured way.

This new technique and training is offered only a few times each year. Don’t miss the opportunity.

"With a background in various trauma therapies (EMDR, Somatic therapies, EXA, Polyvagal therapy, psychodynamic etc), I found this accelerated approach intriguing and very effective. It is easily learned, compassionate and respectful of the client and their process. It integrates well with other modalities but on it's own is a very effective, surprisingly fast and resourceful approach to trauma processing. Bring this training to all the hurting places on this planet! The world needs more of this." Dr. Joy Zeglinski, MD

"I actually felt that I learned something. I often leave training feeling like I did not learn anything new. I appreciated having scripts and showing how they were used in Demos. I felt that this training was productive, and that I will be able to implement these strategies immediately with clients. I feel confident and do not feel confused about the topic. I feel the training was straightforward and concise. The training was informative and as a trainer you stayed focused and on the topic. I would take another training from you if offered." Lizzette Vescera LMFT

"I really enjoyed the training. I liked the videos of real client processing. It was helpful to see how you worked with them. I really liked the pace of the training and pace of your talking. Sometimes trainers talk too fast but your tone and voice was really perfect for my learning style. I really appreciate the shorter, cost effective training too!" Stacey Downing LMFT

"This training includes the best parts of SE, EMDR, positive resourcing & mindfulness. It’s nice to focus on what is feeling good vs feeling bad. Really helps the client embody healing in an empowering way. Thank you for creating this modality." Pamela Silsby LPC, NCC

"After the training this week, I integrated Accelerated Resourcing to my sessions with clients and they were able to experience profound shifts and reported a lot of healing. I was pleasantly surprised and encouraged to continue incorporating this model into my work!"  Patricia Pena LMFT

"This training was extremely affordable and provided a wealth of information. The Accelerated Resourcing approach that Tim created is an absolute game changer! It will transform the way our clients feel about therapy and may even reduce the risk of therapist burnout."  Margaret Bruce, LPC, CCTP

"Just used this for a patient that I've worked with that had flashbacks. Regulated from 8/10 to 0/10 using just the first 3 exercises you taught yesterday. Only took about 10 minutes total!  I like it, and the effectiveness!" Ron Niewald LMFT

"I love how I got something that I can use and how it was clear and very specific. Best training I ever had."
Roselene Dalanhese LCSW

"Fantastic training! I learned a lot of new techniques to add to my practice, and I am forever grateful to put my stick down!" Kate O'Malley LMFT

"I am excited to use it with my clients. I believe it is the directives that will help the healing with my clients. I would recommend this training to anyone who works with trauma." Lea Lafave LPCC

"Accelerated Resourcing has been incredibly useful in my practice. I am so grateful for the effective and efficient training. I thought it was a good mix of information and practice. The videos were very helpful. It was practical and applicable and I am actually excited to use it with some of my clients. It was a bit late for me, as I am in the Eastern Time Zone, but it was totally worth it!" Glenn Walsh Psychotherapist

"I liked how concrete and specific it was. It gave me some easy-to-implement exercises to use, and skipped the typical information that is repeated in every trauma training. I felt it was clear and easy to apply right away (maybe with a bit more practice)."  Jessica Sales RSW

"I loved this training! Your training was also affordable. I am a part time clinician who works very diligently to be affordable for my clients, so I don't have high earnings. I recently have become weary of spending thousands of dollars annually for trainings. I can implement tomorrow. The value is in the work you’ve done creating and organizing easy to follow scripts and instructions. Your kindness shines through, and grace/humility are added bonuses in your presentation. You’ve created a fantastic technique and present it very effectively while making it affordable to us. I’m grateful!"  Christie McEwan LCAS, Drug & Alcohol Counselor

"It was very eye opening how fast and smooth it can be to lower the activation and not have to sit in it. I've taken over a dozen trainings and your training is just as good and helpful as the others. Thank you for the opportunity to learn something new and helpful for me and my clients."  Evan Leong Certified Practitioner

"The training was wonderful. Helped teach me a great tool to use to help my clients have a positive experience after processing a past trauma. The scripts are helpful!" Kelsey Thompson LMFT

"I appreciated a truly new set-up. I appreciate your conciseness in describing the steps to your setup. I also appreciate the price point."  Natalie Montenegro LMFT

"I like how it's so adaptable, how effective and easy it is to use and remember. In practicum I was surprised how much more healing I could get, after all the therapy and inner healing I've received so far, yet there was more and it went deeper. In my practicum, I didn't have a specific memory at first but as we continued and stayed with the feeling, different memories came up that I have not thought about in forever. Really helpful! Had such a good cry. Excited to use this with clients!" Melody Chen AMFT

"It was very reasonably priced, making it available to all.

It was concise, well presented and well supported with practicums, and example cases. The tone and manner of Tim was so friendly and supportive , demonstrating an ideal way of 'being with' clients." Neil Duncan Mackintosh
